Allred Vote Dishonors Fallen Service Members

HOUSTON — Today, Colin Allred voted AGAINST a bill that would ensure accountability for key officials in the Biden-Harris Administration who were involved in the botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

During the botched withdrawal, 13 service members were killed, including a Texan. This withdrawal is without a doubt one of the most significant stains on the Biden-Harris Administration, which is why Democrats, including Colin Allred, refused to hold anyone accountable and pretend like it didn’t happen.

In an August 2021 interview with MSNBC, Allred defended Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal by saying that Trump left Biden “a very difficult situation” and skipped a hearing on the withdrawal despite being a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

A Cruz Campaign spokesperson issued the following statement.

“Colin Allred has no shame. The idea that he would vote against holding those accountable who made reckless decisions that led to the death of 13 of our service members, one being a Texan, is reprehensible. He should immediately issue an apology to the families of the soldiers who were killed.”
