HOUSTON — Today, the American Energy Alliance (AEA) announced they are endorsing Senator Ted Cruz in his re-election campaign. In the endorsement announcement, Sen. Cruz was highlighted for being only one of five senators to receive AEA’s Energy Champion designation, with a full-term score of 96%.
Throughout this campaign, Colin Allred has been consistent on one thing, and that’s being inconsistent. He is a hypocrite who has flip-flopped on every single top issue. One of the main policy areas he has flipped back and forth on is energy.
CAN’T COMMENT COLIN ON ENERGY POLICY
- Allred said he wants to ensure Texas remains the country’s No.1 energy state, but he voted AGAINST a bill to reverse the Biden administration’s pause on liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports.
- Allred said he stood up to the Biden administration for the oil and gas industry, but he voted AGAINST denouncing the Biden Administration’s anti-American energy policies.
- Allred said he would defend Texas energy jobs but agreed about the need to transform the Texas economy to address climate change, even if it “may be hard” for the oil and gas industry.
- Allred said he would oppose a national ban on fracking but joined his Democrat colleagues in opposing an effort to prevent future presidents from banning fracking twice.
“No one can trust a word from Colin Allred’s mouth. Leading up to his senate run, he was one of the most liberal members in the U.S. House of Representatives for nearly six years. But once he decided to run for statewide office, he decided to change his tune on various issues. Can’t Comment Colin didn’t have a change of heart, just a change in strategy when he realized that his anti-oil and gas votes and rhetoric wouldn’t get him ahead in the polls.
“Today‘s endorsement from the American Energy Alliance for Senator Cruz continues to prove that he is the number one choice for American oil and gas.” —Cruz Campaign spokesperson
