ICYMI — Texas Democrats Want to Kill Oil Production

HOUSTON — Yesterday, the Houston Chronicle published an article citing Democrats’ desire to stifle oil production.

Will Can’t Comment Colin chime in? Will the press ask him if he supports his colleagues’ stance? Texas’ oil and gas workers deserve to know.

The article, in part, states the following.

“U.S. oil exports were up 6% in the first five months of 2023 over the same period last year, with more than 4 million barrels a day of petroleum exports flowing through terminals in Texas and Louisiana, according to the Department of Energy. Those numbers look to grow in the years ahead as pipeline companies including Enterprise Products and Energy Transfer develop offshore oil terminals in the Gulf of Mexico that can load tankers twice the size of those that conventional ports can handle.

“But as Democrats move to reduce reliance on fossil fuels to combat climate change, some party members, including Rep. Greg Casar, D-San Antonio, are calling on the Department of Transportation to halt the development of those offshore terminals.”

“Democrats in Texas show their true colors more and more every single day,” said a Cruz Campaign spokesperson.

“The Allred camp will have you believe that he won’t destroy the energy industry, but the reality is that he has countless gold stars on his Squad membership card from his time in the U.S. House of Representatives for supporting harmful policy positions just like this. Will he comment on his radical colleagues’ position that will stifle oil production?”
