HOUSTON, TX – Yesterday, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz for re-election. Senator Cruz has been the leading fighter for Texas small businesses for over 10 years in the U.S. Senate.
Founded in 1942, NFIB is a nonpartisan, member-driven organization advocating on behalf of America’s small and independent business owners, both in Washington, D.C., and in all 50 states.
This endorsement comes during the Senator’s small business tour across the state, which seeks to highlight Texas-grown small businesses whose hard work and determination make Texas an economic powerhouse.
Senator Cruz will continue visiting Texas small businesses in every corner of the state on the campaign trail.
About the endorsement, Senator Ted Cruz said, “I am proud to be endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business. Since my election to the U.S. Senate, my top priority has been jobs. Small businesses are the backbone of our state and are the largest job creators. They are what make our state one of the largest economic powerhouses in the country. I am proud to represent Texas small businesses each and every day and will continue fighting for Texas’ ideals of a free market and limited government.”
“Senator Ted Cruz has always been a strong champion of free enterprise and small business,” said Jeff Burdett, NFIB Texas State Director. “As a recipient of NFIB’s Guardian of Small Business Award, Senator Cruz has a proven record of defending small business owners. Most notably, we appreciate his support for making the Small Business Deduction permanent and preventing a significant tax increase on Texas small businesses. We must send strong champions of free enterprise like Senator Cruz back to Washington.”
