- Ted successfully included border security amendments in the 2022 Coast Guard Authorization Act. His amendments boosted the surveillance capabilities for our southern “maritime” border, and also began the process of potentially building a Coast Guard facility at Port Mansfield, Texas.
- Ted has been unrelentless in calling out Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Attorney General Merrick Garland for their dereliction of duty and failing to secure our country's southern border.
- Ted introduced a comprehensive border security amendment to the national security supplemental.
- Ted led over two dozen Senators on numerous trips to the U.S-Mexico border to educate them on the results of President Biden's open borders agenda.
- Ted introduced the Protect Kids and Parents Act, to keep immigrant families together after they cross the border.
- Ted co-sponsored The SAVE Act, to require proof of U.S citizenship to register an individual to vote in elections.
- Ted co-sponsored the Laken Riley Act, to require the Secretary of Homeland Security to take into custody aliens who have been charged in the U.S. with theft, and for other purposes.
- Ted sponsored the No FAMS at the Border Act of 2024, to deploy federal air marshals to the southern and northern borders of the U.S.
