When Will Colin Allred Stand Up to His Party to Help Texans?

HOUSTON — Today, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) actively worked to block Sen. Cruz’s bipartisan TAKE IT DOWN Act, which would require social media sites to remove non-consensual, sexually exploitative images, including AI-generated deep fakes, within 48 hours of notice.

The TAKE IT DOWN Act is a common-sense bill that targets a pervasive issue and it was first brought to Senator Cruz’s attention by a Texan mother whose daughter was the victim of AI revenge porn.

The bill has received an impressive coalition of bipartisan supporters, ranging from elected officials to tech companies. Now, Sen. Booker, a good friend of Colin Allred who actively campaigns for him, is trying to block the bill.

Will Colin Allred ever do right by Texans? We call on Colin Allred to stand up to his colleague, Senator Booker, and urge him to pass Senator Cruz’s bipartisan TAKE IT DOWN Act.

“Last week, Colin Allred attacked Alexis Nungaray, whose daughter was murdered by two illegal aliens, for her advocacy. Today, he voted against holding the Biden-Harris Administration accountable for their botched Afghanistan withdrawal, which resulted in 13 service members being killed, including a Texan. Now, his good pal Booker is playing politics and trying to block a bill that will be a massive win for Texans and our country.

“We’re calling on Colin to stand up to his colleague and urge him to pass Sen. Cruz’s TAKE IT DOWN Act.”
